Witco is seeking Part Time - Direct Support - Job Coaches Witco is a nonprofit disability service organization serving citizens with disabilities for over 50 years. Witco is dedicated to creating opportunities to empower people with disabilities by providing a variety of vocational, employment, and community rehabilitation services. This position is responsible for providing transportation, custodial training and support to workers with disabilities who perform custodial work at State and public buildings. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to transport workers to various work sites
  • General computer, math, and data-tracking skills
  • Valid driver's license/ vehicle insurance and a clean driving record
  • Must complete an obtain clearance for Criminal History, with fingerprinting, employment references, pre-hire drug screen, and Military Base Clearance
  • Essential Job Functions: The ability to perform custodial duties is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide work and employment training services training to people who are cognitively, behaviorally and/or physically disabled at their place of work.
  • Provide or arrange transportation if needed.
  • Monitor progress towards goals, collect data on all services provided, evaluate results, make recommendations.
  • Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.
  • Teach job skills to the employee and guide in learning to complete job tasks.
  • Assist the employee with soft skills such as social skills and communication in the workplace.
  • Coach employee on fine-tuning work habits/skills to maintain employment.
  • Help the employee stay motivated through difficult times.
  • Encourage the development of self-esteem and independence.
  • Work with the employer to identify workplace needs and goals, and the employee's role in them.
  • Complete documentation and maintain accurate records, prepare reports.
