About The Position
We are seeking a talented and motivated Bar & Lounge Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality small plates, appetizers, and menu items served in our stylish AC Lounge. The ideal candidate has a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. At the AC Hotel, we focus on thoughtful design, elevated service, and curated food and beverage experiences. As a Bar & Lounge Cook, you will play a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Requirements
- Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the AC Lounge operates primarily during evening hours.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience preparing small plates, tapas-style dishes, or bar menu items.
- Experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen environments.
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to AC Lounge standards and recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain proper food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner to support lounge service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.
- Assist with preparation and setup for lounge service, including prep work.
- Work collaboratively with the bartenders, servers, and management team to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Properly store and label food items while minimizing waste.
- Assist with kitchen closing procedures and cleaning duties.
