Responsibilities: Provides liaison support between academic projects within the College and Regional and or Nationally supported programs, targeting underrepresented and/or underprivileged students/others in the community. Provides project support, including counseling, referrals and information on the support services available to address the special needs of the program or project. Performs outreach efforts in communities to promote programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides academic, financial, personal, social, and career counseling to students in Opportunity Programs. Assesses special needs of students to provide information and make referrals to University-wide services and programs. Establishes and maintains a caseload of selected students/program participants on a regular basis. Maintains confidential records and program statistics. Prepares and submits status reports. Coordinates the program efforts of project members to provide support of the project, maintains working knowledge of the area(s) of expertise by reviewing research, attending meetings and seminars. Assists the Director of the Program in planning and administration of grant proposals. Assesses program prospects candidacy for the program. Coordinates data and analysis for reporting or for publications/grant proposals or the like. May serves as primary staff liaison to other campus offices by coordinating programs, activities and special events between the departments. Ensures that a multi-cultural perspective is incorporated into the planning of campus-wide events. Oversees and manages project budget. Provides financial reports. Other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
