About The Position

As an Academic Instructor with us, you will be teaching in a classroom environment to provide diverse students with adult basic education, English language development, special education, and basic subjects including reading, mathematics, and language arts. This role will require you to teach career planning, social adjustment, and general life skills courses. Instruct conversational English, as well as local ideas and customs to students with limited English proficiency. Maintain records including testing, daily inmate/detainee work, and attendance. Evaluate and ensure inmate/detainee academic progress. Provide individual tutoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Two (2) years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Valid adult education teaching certificate from Arizona Department of Education required.
