About The Position

Marksman Security Corporation is seeking dependable and professional Temporary Access Control Specialists to support facility operations in Cedar Rapids. This is a full-time temporary assignment expected to last approximately seven (7) months . The role focuses primarily on exterior post duties , managing access points and ensuring smooth and efficient entry and exit procedures for vehicles, visitors, and vendors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English).
• Physically able to: Lift 50+ lbs Stand for extended periods Walk long distances Work in heat, cold, wind, and rain

Nice To Haves

• Experience in gate operations, logistics coordination, or facility access management.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage exterior access points for vehicles, visitors, and vendors.
• Verify credentials, identification, and authorization for site entry.
• Provide directions and site-specific information to drivers and guests.
• Conduct regular patrols of parking areas, gates, fencing, and perimeter zones.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to gate alarms, access discrepancies, and entry/exit issues.
• Maintain accurate entry logs and documentation.
• Coordinate with site management regarding deliveries and scheduled arrivals.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by site management.

Benefits
