About The Position

Under limited supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship of access controls as a journeyman level technician. Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 7:45am to 4:15pm

Requirements

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge in the maintenance, repair and operation of electrical and mechanical security systems.
• Hands on knowledge with the installation of various types of security devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; and develops alternative solutions.
• Ability to support operational needs to meet or exceed service standards and expectations in a timely and respectful manner.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required - must have a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and services access control hardware and equipment.
• Performs low voltage electrical and mechanical work as it relates to the construction, alteration, repair and maintenance of access control devices and equipment for buildings and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctions for electrical-mechanical access control devices.
• Installs, inspects, tests, maintain and repairs a wide variety of physical security devices, alarms, locks, door hardware, and ecrv equipment.
• Cuts keys without having a second key for duplication and pins up lock cylinders.
• Assists with alarm and ecrv programming.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
