About the position

The Account Executive in the Centralized Marketing Unit is responsible for processing RFP submissions and marketing new and renewal business necessary to maintain the Client Insurance Program. This role involves scrubbing intake forms for appropriate documentation, preparing case submissions (RFP), creating and reviewing marketing spreadsheets, analyzing coverage comparisons and insurance quotes, and preparing internal underwriting submissions for renewal business. The Account Executive will serve as a liaison between the service team and insurance carriers, collaborate with the service team on developing a renewal timeline, maintain the RFP/Marketing Timeline, and update the agency recordkeeping system with current policy information.

Responsibilities

  • Scrubbing intake forms for appropriate documentation
  • Prepare case submissions (RFP)
  • Create, complete or review marketing spreadsheets
  • Analyze coverage comparisons and insurance quotes
  • Prepare internal underwriting submission for renewal business
  • Serve as the liaison between the service team and insurance carriers
  • Collaborate with service team on developing a renewal timeline
  • Maintain RFP/Marketing Timeline
  • Update agency recordkeeping system with current policy information
  • Attend meetings with service team as appropriate
  • Attend marketing meetings with insurance carriers as appropriate
  • Work within centralized marketing unit on new and renewal submission completion
  • Work within centralized marketing unit on market strategy for accounts
  • Work with other marketing personnel on market strategies
  • Communicate between carriers, service team, and producer as to the status of the marketing process and daily correspondence
  • Work on company relationships/communication as needed
  • Provide a resource to producers/service team on market conditions or market availability and status of new and renewal proposals as needed
  • Treat clients, prospects, and company employees with courtesy and respect
  • Contribute to a team approach toward meeting goals and providing excellent client service
  • Demonstrate cooperation and effective communication with clients, vendors and co-workers
  • Ability to service clients effectively through problem solving, confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity and tactfulness
  • Analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations of terms and conditions for medical coverages in middle market
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers
  • Utilize carrier online rating programs as necessary
  • Understand the current insurance market
  • Stay current on which companies are writing which industry classes
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of policy forms and endorsements
  • Identify and address any coverage gaps within the unit

Requirements

  • Licensed: Texas L&H Agent or able to obtain Texas L&H license
  • Minimum of 5 years of Employee Benefits Experience preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Proficient at BenefitPoint, ImageRight, and SmartSheet preferred
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and current internet technologies
  • Demonstrate proactive work style - Does not have to be asked or reminded of tasks
  • Ability to learn, analyze and comprehend employee benefits lines of insurance
  • Demonstrate ability to assist colleagues in the service of clients effectively through problem solving, appropriate confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity and tactfulness
  • Willing to work overtime due to cyclical nature of business if necessary
