Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and/or basic knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Current Indiana Property & Casualty License or must meet Indiana state licensing requirements within 90 days of hire date.
  • Ability to maintain consistent/dependable work schedule.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
  • Experience in team environment including an ability to connect with peers, and customers; active listening skills; clearly and effectively shares information verbally.
  • Ability to draft/revise communication professionally via multiple communication channels to deliver information in a clear and concise manner with diverse audience.
  • Proven ability to manage escalating situations while maintaining composure, triage and escalate as needed.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests received via phone, fax, email and through the imaging system in the required timelines, building and managing long-term relationships.
  • Actively listen and work with customers to research and resolve a wide variety of issues appropriately escalating issues when necessary.
  • Acknowledge and address customer's requests for additional products or services and submit to appropriate team member, if needed.
  • Function as an expert on Medpro's website to assist customers with self-serve functions, credentialing letter requests, online payment information, policy copy, etc.
  • Collect basic customer information for application submission to underwriting (UW); increase anticipation of UW questions as experience increases.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in processing/communicating information to customers and documenting available information.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tool and other internal teams to manage and renew assigned book of business.
  • Identify at risk accounts, using appropriate tools and resources to retain the account and/or reduces losses.
  • Work with customers to resolve late payment issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
