We are looking for a Public Sector Account Executive to join our extraordinary Sales team and help us drive the market. Right now, Public Sector organizations across every size and vertical are focused on improving uptime & performance to ensure high mission success, gaining greater scale & efficiency through projects like cloud adoption/migration, and accelerating time to market through speed and agility by embracing DevOps practices. Requirements

  • 5+ years field sales experience selling enterprise software or business technology products and services to the U.S. Federal government including the Department of Defense, national security sector, or civilian agencies.
  • US Citizenship and Active Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (Secret or higher) or similar U.S. government clearance
  • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value and operational mission needs.
  • Comfort with managing existing enterprise accounts and expanding into new agencies.
  • Experience in consultative, enterprise solutions selling APM and/or Infrastructure related software tools.
  • Outstanding track record of experiences and successes in growing a sales territory and exceeding assigned goals.
  • Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management and analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Previous experience selling Observability solutions

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Personally engage in key account sales and ongoing customer success.
  • Engage senior government executives in order to close sales opportunities.
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
  • Develop and continue to optimize the sales pipeline and forecast process with a focus on predictability.
  • Define account strategies that allow the team to have the right potential to identify customer prospects and targets.
  • Represent New Relic by driving sales opportunities with company partners.
  • Measure and report results of sales against plan execution.
