About the position

The position involves building positive relationships with retail customers and ensuring compliance with PDC Merchandising Standards. Responsibilities include building displays, participating in cooler resets, assisting with orders, and developing product orders while meeting all required QD’s for all accounts. The role also entails quality control of products, educating retailers on sales promotions, prepping accounts prior to delivery, and managing damaged products. Additionally, the position requires monitoring POS materials, managing delivery needs, and maintaining distribution for all brands. The employee will strive for additional sales opportunities and maintain required call frequency for each account.

Responsibilities

  • Build a positive relationship with all retail customers.
  • Meet or exceed PDC Merchandising Standards.
  • Build displays and participate in cooler resets as needed.
  • Help with orders if needed.
  • Develop product orders and meet all required QD’s for all accounts.
  • Responsible for quality control of all products in all accounts and manage movement of close coded products.
  • Educate and inform retailers on all current and upcoming sales promotions.
  • Prep all accounts prior to delivery (i.e. back stock).
  • Responsible for maintenance of damaged product in all accounts on route.
  • Monitor condition of paper and permanent POS and maintain current POS in vehicle.
  • Manage hot-shot delivery needs of retailers.
  • Return to all small format accounts on afternoons during high volume periods for additional service.
  • Responsible for execution of all chain programs and ad features.
  • Strive for additional sales and display opportunities.
  • Maintain distribution for all brands and packages according to PDC.
  • Strive for additional Shelf Space for all small format accounts.
  • Participate and accurately document all sales contests.
  • Maintain required call frequency for each account.
  • Review current sales information including promotion bulletins, Mobility collateral, IDIG, IRI, email.
  • Certified in BrewU Selling Skills and any other required training.
  • Maintain quality appearance as outlined in PDC employee handbook.
  • Maintain Mobility route book with all required information including build ups, messages, notes for instruction.
  • Track all PFP/KPI/Mobility, Go Spot Check Data Surveys during sales calls.
  • Monitor competitive promotional/pricing activities and report significant marketing strategies or beverage law violations.
  • Submit new account information and any changes to Data Processing Department.
  • Meet all syncing deadlines.
  • Attend all meetings, seminars, and training scheduled by management.
  • Adhere to all policies in PDC Employee Handbook.
  • Monitor no sale list on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Responsible for all equipment issued by Pepin Distributing.
  • Maintain company vehicle to PDC standards and report repair needs immediately to the Maintenance Shop.
  • May be called upon by management to perform other duties.

Requirements

  • Report directly to Off-Premise Market Manager.
  • Daily team communication with Market Manager, Assistant Account Manager(s), and Delivery Team.
  • General proficiency with standard office suite software as well as industry-specific software like VIP and the ability to learn new software and programs as needed.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and climb repeatedly.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to pass/maintain DOT physical requirements.

Benefits

  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 AM.
  • Weekend availability is required during Super Bowl, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and other large events.
  • Weekend holiday duty is required.
