Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is looking for an Account Manager & New Sales Representative to join our 2–9 Team. In this role, the Account Manager & New Sales Rep plays a key role in supporting New‑to‑Blue (NTB) business, managing service and renewals, and strengthening relationships with brokers and small‑group clients. This role serves on the team’s lead line, responding to inquiries from prospective groups and broker partners, assessing eligibility, and guiding qualified employers through the process of securing small‑group coverage. Managing a high‑volume portfolio, the selected candidate will handle a steady flow of eligibility questions, renewal needs, and alternative rate or plan requests—especially as market demand increases. While most responsibilities center on servicing an existing book of business, the role also supports new sales inquiries through established broker relationships. No cold calling is required. The ideal candidate brings a positive, team‑focused personality; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to build trust with brokers and clients. Because this role manages high volumes of work, the selected candidate must be exceptionally detail‑oriented, able to think critically, solve problems independently, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Strong organizational skills, multitasking, and time management are essential—especially when managing heavy email traffic, prioritizing requests, and triaging inquiries in a fast‑moving corporate environment.
