About The Position

Account Manager – Walmart The Bluebird Group is a manufacturer's representative and consulting firm serving as an invaluable partner to some of the most innovative brands and multinational retailers. We are seeking an Account Manager to work in our office in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Walmart Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Walmart account operations, supporting client brands, Walmart, and internal teams. This role ensures seamless execution across all operational initiatives, aligns client and retailer priorities, and drives performance through actionable insights, system expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in retail account management, supplier/vendor management, or related operational role.
  • Strong operational and project management skills; ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Data-driven decision making; ability to analyze metrics and translate into action.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to serve as a trusted liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing Walmart or other large retail accounts preferred.
  • Background in eCommerce, omni-channel operations, or product catalog management a plus.
  • Exposure to forecasting, sales analytics, and vendor performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency with retail systems (e.g., Walmart Retail Link), QMS, PLM, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Walmart operations, including issue triage, escalation, and resolution.
  • Manage sales recaps, cost changes, CO-OP programs, DSV, and import updates.
  • Prioritize tasks and align resources across internal teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Track performance metrics and prepare reports for line reviews and meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Walmart execution standards (planograms, pricing, merchandising).
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, translating priorities into actionable plans.
  • Lead client onboarding and supplier Vendor Agreement processes.
  • Guide clients and suppliers through Walmart systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Create, set up, and maintain items within Walmart’s systems and online platforms, ensuring accurate, competitive, and compliant product listings.
  • Manage item costs, Brand IDs, attributes, and catalog integrity while maintaining data accuracy across all systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve item setup, maintenance, and system-related issues.
  • Oversee both domestic and import item programs, including associated operational processes such as QMS and Supplier Quotes.
  • Drive eCommerce initiatives and optimize omni-channel processes across digital and in-store platforms.
  • Ensure Walmart.com listings meet content quality standards and align with retail strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze vendor performance and sales metrics to identify trends and risks.
  • Develop and manage forecasts to support strategic planning and optimize vendor performance.
  • Support quoting, Template/PO file maintenance, CO-OP programs, and new item handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate program records and provide internal and client guidance on operational readiness.
