Our team of board-certified physicians and audiologists are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), or post-secondary education.
• Two (2) years of experience in a clerical environment, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to read and understand medical record chart.
• Basic typing skills
• Knowledge of current ICD-9 and CPT codes
• Ability to manage time of self and others.
• Basic math skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs as a cross trained multi functional team member of the office practice.
• Ensures accurate and timely charge capture and billing of office visits and inpatient charges, front office assistant responsibilities, precertification, scheduling or other administrative functions as assigned.
• Responsible for collecting physician and technical superbills/rounding sheets daily.
• Enters and verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Verifies medical benefits and obtains preauthorization.
• Cross trained in the billing process cycle to include charge capture, insurance, collections and payment processing including outsourced receivables.
