Purpose of the Role As an Accounting Analyst, Associate, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial health of UPMC. You’ll assist with accounting and analytical activities that ensure the accuracy of our general ledger, help develop financial statements and reports and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making across the organization. Location: This position will be based out of The US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience.
  • Act 34

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in information gathering for various required management reports.
  • Create accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Propose correcting entries.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Assist in administrative tasks or special projects as needed.
  • Prepare and post basic monthly journal entries.
