About the position

TOK America, Inc. plays an extremely important part, serving as the supply hub of semiconductor photoresists and high-purity chemical agents for the customers in United States and Europe. Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting division.
  • Prioritize and complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Interpret, distill, and present complicated and/or technical information to employees, customers, and others.
  • Use and operate a computer, office equipment and other technology devices with a high degree of skill.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entries and general ledger entries.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Maintain and make necessary adjustments to records and/or logs.
  • Verify and reconcile bank statements and/or department records.
  • Collect customer payments, post receipts and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely compliance with monthly accounting calendar deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts including payment history and outstanding balances.
  • Generate, send and manage invoices, applying payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments and account adjustments.
  • Follow ISO 9000 and 14000 standards and create necessary compliance documents.
  • Perform other related duties for the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Attend annual and/or quarterly refresher courses related to hazardous waste management and handling.

Requirements

  • Accounting certificate or A.A in accounting is required.
  • 1 year of previous working experience in basic accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping is preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Well organized and ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize needs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Maintain ISO document and record control.
  • Able to work extended hours and various shifts as directed.
  • Knowledge of Japanese culture and/or bilingual in Japanese is a plus.
