Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk position is a part-time role, scheduled for up to 20 hours per week based on departmental needs. This position offers flexibility while supporting the accounting team with essential financial and administrative functions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2 -5 years accounts payable experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to identify errors and correct them.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree or Prefer coursework in accounting/certification in Bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely into UCP’s accounting system.
Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain vendor relations with new and existing vendors at a very positive level.
Timely respond to any inquires by vendors.
Process and enter Check Request and process due invoices for payments
Distribute/mail the checks. This includes vendors and employee’s expenses refund.
Maintain and accurately file all invoices.
Support audit requests by providing required documentation.
Receive and distribute mail.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
