The Controller oversees the business’ accounting and finance operation. Responsible for overall internal financial management, including accounting, budgeting and forecasting, payments and cash management, as well as the development or adherence to the Country/Regional policies and procedures. Ensures company accounting procedures conform to Egis Group Financial Manual. In addition, a finance controller is expected to assist operations by partnering with the business which includes capital investments, pricing, net working capital management, and various business plans/initiatives to improve the business financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in engineering, consulting, construction, or project-based professional services required.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, and financial consolidations.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Oracle and/or Deltek preferred, and advanced Excel/reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Close Management
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare U.S. GAAP financial statements and reporting packages for submission to the regional and parent company management.
  • Manage reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Support dual-reporting requirements when applicable (e.g., U.S. GAAP to IFRS or parent reporting standards).
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to both local leadership and regional/global finance teams.
  • Project Accounting & Operational Finance
  • Review and manage job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
  • Partner with project managers to monitor project margins, utilization, backlog, and forecasts.
  • Work closely with operational teams to manage financial risk, billing structure, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Improve visibility into project performance through reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting policies, internal reporting deadlines, and consolidation requirements.
  • Compliance, Controls & Audit
  • Maintain strong internal controls consistent with corporate governance standards.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax compliance with regional tax team, and regulatory filings in collaboration with the parent company.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. regulatory requirements while aligning with global finance procedures.
  • Document and enhance accounting policies and procedures.
  • Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop a small-to-mid-sized accounting team.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP system optimization.
  • Support system integrations or reporting enhancements required by the parent organization.
  • Provide financial insights to executive leadership to support strategic growth.
