Performs highly complex accounting activities and leads significant accounting projects with minimal supervision. Independently prepares and reviews complex journal entries, oversees critical account reconciliations, and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and ad hoc financial reporting. Applies advanced accounting expertise to analyze trends, resolve complex issues, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls throughout the month end close process. Prepares and reviews components of financial statements, supports audits, and drives process and control improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, accounting theory, and internal control frameworks, with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply standards independently
  • Advanced journal entry and account reconciliation experience, including review and oversight of high‑risk or judgmental accounts
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing components of financial statements, supporting internal and external audits, and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to accounting projects, process improvements, or control enhancements with minimal supervision
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced close environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance
  • Prior leadership or informal mentoring experience, including review of others’ work and knowledge sharing across the team
  • CPA preferred
