About The Position

HERE is growing, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting & Operations Analyst to join our team! This hybrid role is approximately 60% Finance-focused and 40% general Operations. This is a junior-level position and an excellent opportunity for an individual with foundational accounting knowledge who is eager to take ownership of core daily financial functions. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and supporting the team’s efficiency, particularly as we optimize our NetSuite ERP system. Operations duties will scale with the needs of the team; a snapshot of potential responsibilities is outlined below.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Entry - two years of experience in a professional accounting or finance role. A minimum of prior internship experience in a corporate accounting setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with foundational accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/spreadsheets (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and other Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with NetSuite or other major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage Intacct) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and routine bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries, including standard, recurring, and reversing entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Assist in compiling documentation and schedules required tax filings in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the team with tax-related tasks, including sales tax setups and reporting within the NetSuite environment.
  • Work extensively with NetSuite (our Enterprise Resource Planning system) for financial management, reporting, and data entry.
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools for data analysis, reporting, and creating reconciliations and schedules.5
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and account reconciliations.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.
  • Ownership of equipment ordering and tracking for new and current employees
  • Assist HR as the on-site POC to welcome new hires
  • Additional duties will be assigned as the role and comfort level progresses
