About The Position

The Department of Accounting in the John H. Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach undergraduate financial accounting and managerial accounting courses (ACC 202 and ACC 203).

Requirements

• At least 18 graduate credits in accounting are required.
• At least 3 years of full-time experience as a professional accountant.

Nice To Haves

• A Master’s degree in accounting is preferred.
• Active professional designation such as CPA, CMA, etc., is preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching one or two course(s) per semester.
• Creating syllabus(es) for students each semester to include learning objectives consistent with The University and the College of Business mission statement (course objectives and sample syllabi provided).
• Providing meeting times for students.
• Managing the online/paperwork grading system, including training prior to the first semester of teaching.
• Meeting with the course coordinator and/or department chair.
