About The Position

Chief Financial Credit Union is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support general ledger reconciliations, ACH exception processing, corporate account balancing, and month-end accounting operations within our Finance Department. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, resolving transaction discrepancies, and supporting strong accounting controls across the organization.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reconciliation experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes
• Experience researching and resolving financial discrepancies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Professional communication and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a credit union, bank, or financial institution accounting environment
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with ACH processing, financial transaction research, or banking operations

Responsibilities

• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accounts remain balanced and properly documented
• Process and resolve ACH and Share Draft exceptions, returns, and adjustments
• Maintain and reconcile the Credit Union’s corporate account , researching and resolving transaction variances
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures , including accruals and supporting documentation
• Research transaction activity and provide accounting support to internal departments
• Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate financial records while adhering to internal controls, accounting procedures, and regulatory requirements
