Accounting & Tax Specialist

About The Position

Ultium Cells is looking for an individual who has a strong passion for accounting, product cost and understanding the economic and business impacts of business transactions. The candidate will work closely with FP&A, Internal Controls, Treasury teams and other cross-functional partners to support production and sales regarding the financial performance of the company. The role will dig into complex datasets to analyze trends and translate them into actionable insights for continuous process/profitability improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
3+ years of experience in a corporate finance and/or financial analysis
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
Excellent time management and organizational ability
Strong communication and presentation skills
Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
Knowledge in the manufacturing industry a plus
SAP experience preferred

Responsibilities

Support corporate audits and the external auditor testing
Oversee all journal entries, accounting, reconciliations, and month end closing activities
Support corporate audits and the external auditor testing
Assist in month-end procedures and produce accurate & timely reports.
Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas
Establish standard product costing drivers to be integrated into SAP system; streamline and optimize methods
Perform inventory control measures to be analyzed and optimized
Assist in half year-end and year-end additional procedures; include physical inventory
Work with FP&A team for consolidation and reporting of actuals
Serve as accounting subject matter expert on a variety of cross-functional activities
Prepare ad hoc analysis and report as directed or projects as assigned.
