The candidate will work full-time from our Ellsworth, Maine location. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for supporting and supervision of day to day operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school degree or the equivalent
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot table and VLOOKUP’s
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are critical
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, time-management and work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with Avid Ascend

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing, documenting and improving payable systems, processes and procedures
  • Manage and monitor day to day accounts payable operations
  • Manage, train and support accounts payable staff
  • Provide customer service to both vendors and internal business lines
  • Perform accounts payable and general ledger maintenance
  • Research and correct discrepancies
  • Manage the 1099 and sales and use tax processes
  • Manage day to day cash balances in the Bank’s accounts
  • Maintain internal controls and documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable related projects as needed
  • Support month, quarter and year end procedures
  • Code and process invoices
  • Prepare check runs, ACH, and wire payments
  • Enthusiastically support the Bank’s Guiding Principles and Brand Behaviors.
  • Adhere to federal regulatory requirements, such as the Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Acts, and all established policies and procedures
