About The Position

Metropolitan Companies is looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor to join our team! We are looking for a reliable and precise professional to help us properly maintain our accounts payable process, and supervise our Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the maintenance of current accounts and processing of invoices through our accounts payable operating software. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. Requirements

  • Experience with supervision, data entry, coding and reconciling statements.
  • Strong supervisory, clerical, filing and office skills.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of accounts payable work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Yardi Voyager experience a plus.
  • Sage and Procure experience a plus.
  • Mark Systems experience a plus.
  • Nexus AP Automation software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Accounts Payable Specialists.
  • Analyze invoices and expense reports to ensure their correctly processed.
  • Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare monthly accounts payable reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and monitor processes and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Track all payment and transaction records using applicable systems.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Handle disputes resolution.
