The Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and serving as an escalation point for complex issues. This role partners closely with AP management, internal stakeholders, and service providers to maintain strong controls, meet KPIs and SLAs, and continuously improve processes. The AP Team Lead provides day-to-day guidance to team members (local and/or virtual), supports optimization initiatives, and delivers clear, concise communication to leadership.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience typically requires 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Business Experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including creating and enhancing moderately complex Excel templates.
  • Ability to research issues, analyze data, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and influence outcomes without authority.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a changing business environment.
  • Understanding of how strategic business changes impact AP operations and controls.
  • Demonstrate a strong digital mindset by actively seeking and implementing technological solutions to enhance business processes and drive innovation within the team.
