About The Position

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience monitoring and ensuring timely collections of accounts receivables. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application. This role is responsible for managing a team, maintaining strong customer relationships, and implementing best practices to optimize cash flow and minimize risk. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday. The position will be in one of our following offices: Kansas City, MO Cheshire, CT Rolling Meadows, IL Alpharetta, GA Raleigh, NC Palmdale, CA Pasadena, CA

Requirements

  • Must Have Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; or equivalent Equivalent is defined as 5-7 years of relevant accounts receivables or P & C Insurance experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of Account Service Representatives providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Develops and directs process for billing and collections including billing and collection activities with internal and external agencies.
  • Maintains positive and strategic relations with business leaders, Operations team, and other internal and external clients.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and reports data related to the performance of the department and changes the status quo by making recommendations for process improvements to achieve higher efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establishes, monitors and enforces policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation where possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
