ACH Payment Specialist
About The Position
This role requires the candidate to work a lot of data regarding ACH payments This is a form of payment that ANB offers to their members They will receive ACH payments through two different forms (1) email (they call it an STFP file) and (2) through all online banking requests There are no customer interactions in this department They handle these requests in batches and need to review the request, ensure there is no sign of fraud or incorrect data, and then send through for processing If there is fraud or red flags on the request, there is a documentation process they have to go through to request the money back (this is risky and has to be done correctly to ensure there are no errors)
Requirements
- 1-3 years of previous banking experience, specifically experience working with ACH payments/files
- Understand how to see if they have had fraud on their account, if they need to put a hold on account, etc.
- Strong communication skills – ability to communicate via email with branches, approvers, executive management (come across professional and be very detailed with words)
- Someone who understands looking at an ACH file, reading the data in the file, and experience working with the federal government
- Someone who has a strong attention to detail and prides themselves on accuracy in their work
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
