Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities; comfort with pivot tables, financial models, and scenario planning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial systems and data integration tools (e.g., ERP systems and Business Intelligence platforms).
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, risk analysis, and budget execution for complex federal programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate technical or operational risks into financial language.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams with a high level of autonomy.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (preferred) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of the Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) as well as federal financial management and reporting.
  • Experience with creation and maintaining financial reports/dashboards leveraging large raw data sets.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, or similar reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily program, analytical, and financial management support to senior-level leadership.
  • Perform various functions to support funding planning to include funding plan creation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Coordinate PID creation and Purchase Requests to apply funding and prepare records that substantiate funding recommendations.
  • Apply strong computer, finance, and analytical skills to all funding processes.
  • Monitor and analyze spending, proactively identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain alignment with financial targets.
  • Perform continual analysis of the program requirements and recommend areas of potential efficiency/process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to program leadership, offering risk-informed financial strategies and surfacing issues before they impact outcomes.
  • Perform various administrative and program management tasks as required.
