About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Prepare bulk fiber optic cable for further assembly and splice a variety of fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare a variety of fiber optic cables for further assembly steps: Read order instructions and review drawings to determine work steps. Follow process instructions and quality guidelines. Use small manual and power hand tools. Operate splicing equipment to fasten connectors to fiber optic cable. Maintain a clean working environment. Accepts work direction from supervisor, lead, engineer, and co-workers. Exceed and?maintain labor requirements. Communicate within the group on workflow status.? Perform miscellaneous tasks Be flexible and prioritize work orders. Crosstrain in all department work cells. Help instruct co-workers and subcontract personnel. Perform housekeeping duties. Maintain safety requirements. Identify worn tools and maintain tools in good working order. Work overtime when required.
