FVK is recruiting for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Team! This role provides full-scope, hands on functions within the community. This opportunity is Full Time. Pay starts at $15.00 an hour. Position Summary: The Activities Assistant is responsible for implementing a varied scope of activities and recreation. Responsible for running the majority of group activities to include high and low function residents; room bound residents, and non-responsive residents. Follows guidelines that are mandated by the State of Michigan and set up by the Activity Director and/or Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Experience with elderly is preferred
- Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, and flu vaccine status.

Responsibilities
- Provides input and takes initiation of creative programs for both high and low-level functioning residents.
- Daily charting of attendance, one on one room visits, and reporting any significant changes in behavior to the Activity Director. Will participate in contributing to the monthly Newsletter.
- Transporting residents to and from activities, passing and reading mail to residents, organizing and supervising group activities, helping with the passing of meal trays and dining room set up, assisting with out of building activities.
