Activities Director
About The Position
Macomb Post Acute Care Center is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Director to join our team full-time in our skilled nursing facility. This is a rewarding role where you'll design and lead a variety of meaningful activities that enrich the lives of our residents each day. About the Role: As Activities Director, you will: Gather resident interests and needs to create individualized and group activity programs. Plan recreational events that are engaging, inclusive, and offered at times convenient for residents. Provide activities that appeal to both men and women, in a variety of settings, including seasonal and special events. Encourage independent activities and assist residents to and from programs.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with elderly patients is required.
- Positive, outgoing, and upbeat personality.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Recreation or previous experience as a Recreation Assistant/Director preferred.
