About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health – Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Vascular Surgery team. This position offers a mix of outpatient clinic and OR responsibilities, with a heavier emphasis on outpatient care while the physician focuses on surgical procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for an APP looking to work in a dynamic, growing vascular practice. Key Responsibilities: Manage outpatient vascular surgery patients (at least 3 clinic days per week) Conduct pre- and post-operative care, follow-ups, and new patient consults Round on inpatients and assist in the OR Collaborate closely with the vascular surgeon and team to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate documentation, including treatment plans, clinical notes, and patient education Qualifications: ACNP licensure in Texas and RNFA 2+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred (vascular, surgical, or related specialty) Comfortable managing outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and assisting in the OR Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and collaborative mindset Schedule & Compensation: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts Weekday and weekend rounding on rotation with another APP Additional pay provided for after-hours and weekend coverage Average patient census: 12 Compensation based on experience

Requirements

  • ACNP licensure in Texas and RNFA
  • 2+ years of relevant experience strongly preferred (vascular, surgical, or related specialty)
  • Comfortable managing outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and assisting in the OR
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and collaborative mindset
  • EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
  • EXPERIENCE - More than 1 Year of Experience
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities
