Cincinnati Public Radio is seeking its second Adam R. Scripps fellow — a unique position designed to give an early career journalist the skills they need to succeed in the field. The successful candidate for this three-year, grant-funded position will cover three suburban Cincinnati counties (Butler, Clermont and Warren) as a full-time reporter in our newsroom. With extensive training and mentorship, they will produce stories ranging from quick-hit dailies to longer features and investigations for broadcast, digital and social platforms, as well as contribute to breaking news coverage and occasionally appear as a guest on our weekday live radio show, Cincinnati Edition. The successful candidate will have some demonstrated interest in journalism, whether as a student, professional or freelancer. But even more important than previous work is their interest in the profession, their curiosity and attention to detail, and their enthusiasm for serving all Cincinnati residents by producing the high-quality, in-depth news and information that the station is known for. Join an award-winning team that works to build trust and make a difference in the lives of listeners and non-listeners alike, to create a community that is informed, involved and inspired.
