The Somatic Counseling department seeks an Adjunct Faculty Member to teach graduate level courses during the Summer 2026 semester. Adjunct Faculty are provided established curriculum/syllabus to work with and develop in collaboration with existing Core Faculty. This is a one-semester appointment assigned to a specific course. Logistics of this specific position – Dates and Details This is a 3-credit course offered in the Somatic Counseling concentration, to be taught asynchronously online from May 18, 2026 – August 14, 2026, synchronously during an online intensive May 21-23, 2026, and in-person during an intensive on the Nalanda campus from July 13-17, 2026. Course Description CMHC 603 - Counseling and Helping Relationships I Introduction to counseling theories, core skills, and the professional practice of counseling. Topics include current counseling theories, social justice and multicultural counseling competencies, basic attending, compassion, nonjudgmental states, and legal and ethical considerations. Methods of instruction include roleplay, integration of peer and faculty feedback, and skill practice with peers.
