About The Position

Adjunct Faculty Exercise Science Ideal candidate will be local to the Harrisburg Area  Looking for areas of expertise in Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, and/or Sport Psychology.  The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology offers innovative academic and research programs in science and technology that respond to local and global needs. Adjunct/Part-time Faculty Position:  HU is seeking part-time/adjunct faculty members to teach our undergraduate-level courses for this Fall 2026 semester, and beyond.  This is a Pathway for Physical Therapist Assistants to obtain their Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Graduates will have the prerequisites for admission into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program [https://www.harrisburgu.edu/programs/doctor-of-physical-therapy-program/], which is currently in development. The program is primarily online and remote, except for a few onsite laboratory weekends. The EXSC program received initial Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accreditation in May 2023.  Qualifications:  The Exercise Science program at Harrisburg University is seeking qualified applicants for corporate (adjunct) faculty positions to support undergraduate instruction in a dynamic, online learning environment. Candidates must hold a minimum of a master’s degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field. Preference will be given to individuals with doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, ScD or DSc, etc.) preparation and who hold current certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), such as the ACSM-EP, ACSM-CEP, NSCA-CSCS, or NSCA-CPT. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in evidence-based practice, online teaching, and a commitment to student engagement and professional preparation in the health and human performance fields.
