About The Position

The Health and Wellness Department is seeking adjunct faculty to teach credit Sport Management courses within the department curriculum. These course are taught every semester and are currently offered online, but could have potential to also offer on campus face to face as well. The successful applicant for this job will teach the equivalent of 1-9 credit hours per semester in the HPER department. This person will perform other duties expected of adjunct faculty, to include collaborating and working successfully with other full-time and adjunct faculty in the HPER department and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities include: Participate in the planning and administration of all departmental initiatives. Participate in on-campus events promoting health and wellness. Complete on line departmental training as needed.

Requirements

Master’s degree in sports management or related field with 18 Credit Hours in the Discipline.
Prior teaching experience or equivalent experience in sports management, sports administration or related fields.
Ability to successfully manage classroom instruction of 8- or 16-week undergraduate activity courses.
Knowledge of online management systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Canvas or other Learning Management System.
Ability to manage a classroom setting.
Ability to keep accurate records of student's work.
Strong communication skills.
