About The Position

Primary Purpose The inter-professional education team is seeking an adjunct faculty member to help support content delivery of the inter-professional education seminar courses for first year osteopathic medical students. Job functions include review of the facilitators' guide prior to each session and facilitation of small and large group discussions and hands-on interactive activities. Sessions will take place on the RVU campus from 1-3 pm on Thursdays starting in January 2026. Input from adjunct faculty may be sought during the development of sessions which would require a minimal time commitment outside of facilitation.

Requirements

Official transcripts required upon hire.
An earned professional degree or terminal degree in progress from an accredited institution.
terminal degree within a healthcare professions field or a degree in process from an accredited institution.
Experience in inter-professional education or collaborative practice in a clinical setting.
Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.
Ability to orally communicate effectively with others
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language
Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels
May be exposed to short, intermittent, and /or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties
May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include, but not limited to, pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboards, telephone, etc.
May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices, conference rooms, and on occasion, to off-campus sites to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.

Responsibilities

Provide education and facilitate small group activities on the Colorado campus in a variety of settings, including the classroom and simulation center.

Participate in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and ongoing enhancement.
Participate in required faculty training prior to each session.
Contribute to a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity within an environment of access, equity, and inclusion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
