The Art & Design Department at University of New Haven seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach DGAD - 3313 - UX and Interaction Design for Emerging Technologies (Fall 2023) and DGAD 2255 Virtual and Augmented Reality Design (Spring 2024). DGAD - 3313 is a studio course for the Graphic and Digital Design BFA program providing students a deeper introduction to and exploration of Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality interfaces, including superimposing digital content onto the user's real-world view, creating fully immersive virtual world experiences, and prototyping and developing AR/VR interfaces. Primary software: Unity, Figma, Adobe XD. The course is 3 credits, capped at 15 students, and meets on-ground twice a week (2 hours 40 minutes per class). Monday-Wednesday 03:30 PM-06:15 PM. DGAD 2255 is an elective and core course for university students at large providing students an introduction to and exploration of Augmented and Virtual Reality interfaces, including superimposing digital content onto the user's real-world view, creating fully immersive virtual world experiences. Primary software: Unity. The course is 3 credits, capped at 15 students, and meets on-ground once a week (2 hours 40 minutes per class).
