Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions for our Computer Animation program for Summer and Fall 2026. The mission of the department of visual arts at Bergen Community is to provide students with instruction, experience, and encouragement in the practice of visual art and the study of the history of art and visual culture. Our courses, taught by professors who are also active professionals in their fields, impart current information and techniques and promote the development of students’ thinking about art, media, and culture. The Visual Arts Department is located on the main campus in Paramus in West Hall. Facilities include state-of-the-art studios for computer animation, computer graphics, drawing/painting, digital and darkroom photography, and digital projection for the teaching of the history of art. The Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.)- Computer Animation program option is designed to provide students with the coursework needed to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer animation and motion graphics. The curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a pathway to careers in 2D &3D animation, 3D modeling, video editing, compositing and rendering. Students can take coursework and concentrated options in various aspects of motion graphics and interactive multimedia. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with Bergen Community College faculty and Career Services as they begin to explore career options. We are looking for adjunct faculty to teach drawing and painting courses within the Visual Arts Department. Classes are studio based and involve both lecture and hands on in class work with students. Applicants should possess the ability to work with a diverse range of students, communicate effectively and create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. We are looking for adjunct faculty to teach within the AAS Computer Animation program. Classes are studio based and involve both lecture and hands-on in-class work with students. Applicants should possess the ability to work with a diverse range of students, communicate effectively and create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment for all. We are looking for adjunct faculty to teach within the AAS Graphic Design/Computer Graphics program. Classes are studio based and involve both lecture and hands on in class work with students. Applicants should possess the ability to work with a diverse range of students, communicate effectively and create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment.
