About The Position

The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position to support instruction in the Landscape Architectural academic program in the School of Community and Economic Development. This position will teach LARC 251: Landscape Architectural Design focusing on redevelopment planning of brownfields areas. Appointments are on a semester-by-semester basis with varying instructional needs depending on course enrollments and faculty availability. Positions will begin as of January 2026. The College’s mission is rooted in the land-grant tradition—preparing students for impactful careers, advancing knowledge through research and innovation, and serving the people of West Virginia and beyond. Davis College faculty and students address global and regional challenges in agriculture, food security, environmental sustainability, community design, animal and human health, and natural resource stewardship.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree in Landscape Architecture is required at the time of appointment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and teach undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with student-centered instruction, inclusive pedagogy, and/or experiential learning approaches is desirable.
  • Professional experience in applied settings (e.g., agriculture, design, education, natural resources, industry) is a plus.
