About The Position
The Pittsburg State University Department of English and Modern Languages is accepting applications for a part-time, in-person, temporary Adjunct Lecturer to teach for the Fall/Spring semester with a specific need in English Composition and Introduction to Research Writing.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in English or adjacent field of study (eg: ESOL)
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate's must hold a Master’s degree in English or related field.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire, as the university does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Prior instructor experience with undergraduate writing instruction.
- Instructor experience in higher education or with adult learners.
- Experience with online instruction.
- Knowledge of and the ability to work with a course management system (Canvas).
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
Responsibilities
- Teach in person and/or online sections at undergraduate level courses in the program areas identified.
