About The Position

Teach RUSS 101, 201 & 301: Prepare lessons, course materials, and examinations for beginning and intermediate Russian language courses. Classes meet five days a week for a 50-minute period each session. Hold regular student consultations and office hours. Meet in regular consultation with the Russian section’s language program coordinator. The expectation is that the adjunct will teach from the standard textbooks ordered for first- and second-year courses, and will follow the section’s standard syllabi, under the supervision of the Russian section’s language program coordinator. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Second Language Teaching and Acquisition. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Native speaker or near-native speaker of Russian
  • Experience teaching Russian courses
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
