About The Position

This position is only for fall semester 2026 Firm commitment to the Mission and Aims of BYU Firm commitment to the Mission of the School of Music Excellent communication skills Mentoring students and consulting as needed Daytime teaching schedule including classes: Music 302 (Music of the Baroque), and one of the following: Music 601 (Medieval), Music 602 (Renaissance) or Music 603 (Baroque) Participate in meetings and other School of Music assignments as needed This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • PhD in Musicology required. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • College Level teaching experience required

  • Two Publications or Writing Samples
  • Mission Alignment Statement
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
