About the position

We are hiring immediately for a ADMIN ASSISTANT (MARKETING COORDINATOR) position at Quinnipiac University. This role involves clerical functions and administrative support of food service programs, with a focus on marketing coordination. The position is part-time with flexible hours based on weekly availability, including occasional weekends. The pay range is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, scheduling, and implementing marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Produce and manage marketing materials such as social media posts, email newsletters, flyers, and website updates.
  • Organize and promote events, ensuring all marketing elements (signage, materials, outreach) are prepared and executed.
  • Track campaign performance, gather data, and prepare reports to assess effectiveness and guide future strategies.
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client-centric manner.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, and parents.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bid specifications.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous marketing experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
