About The Position

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district. The Administrative Assistant - Confidential in the Human Resources Department will: Provide highly effective, friendly and responsive customer service. Ensure efficient and effective operation of various District programs and functions. Coordinate highly complex and responsible administrative and technical work. Expedite the work flow of a major division in order to support the goals of the District. Coordinate and implement district functions and programs. Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems. Prepare and process materials for employees and the department. Excellent independent judgment, attention to detail, speed and accuracy in completing tasks. Work efficiently under pressure with constant interruptions. Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION: APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 11, 2026 - 4:00 p.m. LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 12 Month Employee Calendar WORK SITE: Human Resources Department WORK SCHEDULE: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by or including courses in typing, office practices and office management
  • Three (3) years of responsible office experience, supplemented by additional training in office organization and secretarial skills, preferably including experience in a school district
  • Type @60 net words per minute
  • Typing Certificate, dated within the last six (6) months. NO ON-LINE TYPING CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED.
  • Letters of Recommendation - 2 (within the last year and preferably one from most recent supervisor)
  • Resume indicating at least three(3) years of responsible office experience in a school district is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred (must be able to read, write and speak).
