The part-time Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Minister of the First Dallas Deaf Ministry.

  • Must be meticulous and possess effective communication skills (American Sign Language required)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, eSpace, and Shelby
  • Must have 3 to 5 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • Requires the ability to walk, stand, and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience with sign interpretation is a plus.
  • a bachelor’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Minister of First Dallas Deaf Ministry in planning, coordinating, and executing the duties and responsibilities of the Deaf Ministry
  • Assist with operational functions of the ministry, including communication and event management (TouchPoint, eSpace, MS Teams, Shelby, etc.)
  • Function in an interactive relationship with all other ministries of the church, and entities/personalities outside the church
  • Provide American Sign Language (ASL) support for the Deaf Ministry as well as the Minister of the Deaf Ministry
  • Order office supplies and any other materials or literature needed for Sunday School Classes, Discipleship University classes, Bible Studies, and any other ministry-led events
  • Manage communication, scheduling, travel, and calendaring responsibilities of the Minister of Deaf Ministry as needed
  • Assist the Minister with managing contractors and volunteers for the Deaf Ministry
  • Adhere to department budget and oversee financial matters such as month-end reporting and reconciliation of credit card statements
  • Other duties assigned by the Deaf Ministry Pastor and Minister of Missions and Outreach
