About The Position

Provide administrative support services necessary for the smooth operation of the school organization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in typing and general clerical skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Ability to make decisions on the basis of precedents and regulations.
  • Previous office experience (preferably in school administration).
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Compose, type, and process correspondence, reports, notices and recommendations as instructed
  • Obtain and organize pertinent data and reports as needed.
  • Maintain a regular filing system and maintain pertinent school records.
  • Place and receive telephone calls, record messages.
  • Perform all receptionist duties.
  • Arrange and maintain a schedule of appointments, conferences, and interviews.
  • Order and maintain supplies as needed.
  • Collect monies and maintain accounts where appropriate.
  • Supervise main office (high school).
  • Arrange for substitute teachers and class coverages (high school) and for substitute custodians (central office)
  • Assist Attendance Clerk, as needed/necessary (high school).
  • Assist with Extended School Year (ESY) responsibilities (central office).
  • Assist with Kindergarten registration responsibilities (central office).
  • Assist administration in special projects/awards ceremonies, as needed/necessary.
  • Perform all related tasks as assigned by the School Principal/Administrator(s).
