Warren County ESC Equal Opportunity Employer Position Title: Administrative Assistant Location: Wellness Center, Deerfield Campus â Mason OH Reports to: Director of the Wellness Center Start date: August 2026 Contract: 221 days Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Valid Ohio driver's license. 3. Demonstrates skill with general office equipment. 4. Demonstrates skills in basic computer programs/software, creating forms/documents, record keeping, filing and basic clerical skills per assignment. 5. Effective communication skills in English. 6. Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted. 7. Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted. 8. Pass criminal background. General Duties: Tasks and responsibilities such as basic computer skills, creating forms/documents, record keeping/filing, and other basic clerical skills specific to assignment. Essential Functions: 1. Effectively communicates and interacts with co-workers daily. 2. Is courteous and polite when answering the telephone and/or greeting visitors. 3. Serves as a communications liaison between supervisor and ESC staff. 4. Maintains confidentially of information in all communications. 5. Proficient with basic office automation and/or business applications. 6. Maintains equipment utilized to keep in good working order. 7. Possesses skills in basic computer programs/software. 8. Verifies accuracy of data on all documents and tasks. 9. Always maintains respect for confidential information. 10. Maintains professional conduct with the public and others; demonstrates tact and diplomacy in all professional relationships. 11. Serves as an administrative assistant to WCESC administrative staff. 12. Prepares and maintains files for WCESC administrators as requested. 13. Creates/types newsletters, interoffice media and other publications as assigned. 14. Serves as a backup for processing incoming mail, sorting, and distributing to staff; processes outgoing mail; knows Board policy. 15. Creates reports and/or composes correspondence as assigned. 16. Assists with local, state, and federal reports as requested. 17. Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance according to assigned schedule and/or office hours. 18. Performs all duties in conformity to the adopted Board Policy. 19. Displays professional appearance. 20. Performs in a professional manner. Other Responsibilities: 1. Serves as a role model for educators and students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings. 2. Helps instill in students and staff the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values. 3. Shall perform such other duties as the Governing Board may assign/determine. 4. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in all WCESC facilities regardless of assigned location. 5. Observes Risk Reduction Safety Rules and Regulations of the Warren County ESC and School Districts, State, Federal OSHA laws and will be evaluated to the extent of compliance and implementation as an employee of such rules and regulations for safety in the workplace while visiting such sites in line of work duties. Must routinely complete all Public-School Works courses as assigned. Additional Working Conditions: 1. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue. 2. Possible operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions. 3. Possible interaction among unruly children.
