In this position, the ACM is responsible for assisting with writing letters and completing forms at the request of providers/therapists. The Administrative Case Manager assumes responsibility for assuring that residents in the defined geographic area receive appropriate and adequate mental health services and community support. Through screening, referral, and short-term/low intensity assistance, the incumbent is responsible for assisting individuals with mental illnesses in accessing federal and state financial entitlements, in coordinating treatment/rehabilitation services, and in linking to/acquiring community supports and resources needed to meet daily living/health needs. Not all administrative case managers are responsible for all position requirements.
