About The Position

The Material Availability Team (MAT) is seeking an administrative clerk with strong communication skills and great attention to detail to support the day-to-day operations of the Supply Chain Organization. The MAT supports construction activities for the VIRGINIA Class, COLUMBIA Class, and Maintenance and Modernization work in the Groton Shipyard. The administrative clerk will support three managers with administrative tasks including: the creation of metrics, scheduling of meetings, onboarding new staff, travel / expense reporting, coordinating schedules, and the ordering of supplies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-7 years of experience in a clerical support role
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and updated Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables and charts, and creation of letters
  • Positive attitude
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
  • High attention to detail
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • The ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Associated degree or higher
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Experience with PowerBI
